Gordon Lurie served as an object-oriented architect and lead developer for 12 years and a senior object-oriented software engineer for more than 15 years, progressing from C++ to Smalltalk. He has been a Java developer since 1996. His work has focused on modeling and simulation systems, object-oriented geographic information systems (GISs), and mobile device computing. He is the software architect and lead developer for the Chem-Bio Emergency Management Information System (CB-EMIS) system.

Mr. Lurie received a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois, Chicago.
