Rick Love has been a lead software engineer at Argonne since 1989. He has experience in graphical user interfaces (GUIs), visualizations (graphics, graphing and reporting, and animation), and simulations. He has designed and developed computer systems in the areas of military logistics/combat, energy use, and emergency management and has used a variety of languages, including Java, C/C++, Prolog, and FORTRAN across a variety of environments, including Windows, UNIX, LINUX, MacOS, and the Web.

Mr. Love has published articles in several refereed journals and conference proceedings and presented at several conferences. His articles have appeared in such publications as Logistics Spectrum, Mathematical and Computer Modeling, and SIMULATION. Conference proceedings and presentations include the SPIE Defense and Security Symposium, Summer Computer Simulation Conference, and National Conference on Microcomputer Applications in Energy.

He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois – Urbana and an M.S. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Physics from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois.
