K.C. Kaufman has been a member of Argonne's Risk Communication Program since 2000, producing, videotaping, and editing educational videos and working as a videographer during exercises and training. He has served as director of photography and camera operator on three feature films and many short films. Recently, he videotaped and performed additional editing on the award-winning documentary, Little Man. He has been a camera operator on many reality TV shows, including Fear Factor, Starting Over, The Next Great Champ, You're Not the Man I Married, The Biggest Loser, and Driving Force.
Mr. Kaufman has edited TV commercials for National Car Rental, Jenny Craig, Mattel, Toshiba, Chicago Cubs, Dadeland Mall, Norm’s restaurants, California Toll Roads, Southern California Aquarium of the Pacific, and Orange County Water Commission, as well as DVD additional features for MGM. Prior to his start in filmmaking, he worked as an actor/director in Chicago and western Michigan. He was one of the founders of the Theater Alliance of Chicago and, while there, his direction of Beth Henley’s The Wake of Jamie Foster won two Jeff awards.
Mr. Kaufman received an M.F.A. in Filmmaking from Columbia College of Chicago and a B.A in Theater Arts from Illinois State University. He lives in Los Angeles, California.
